Santa Maria degli Angeli (Saint Maria of the Angels) is a village at the bottom of the hill where is located Assisi, that has the same name as  its well known cathedral.  This is a particular of the Fontana delle Ventisei Cannelle (Twenty-Six Spout fountain), on a cathedral’s side, with one of the spout and the water that falls in the underlying marble basin. This basin is decorated by emblems of the Medici family, to whom is due the fountain, one of which is clearly visible. Digitally Improved Photo.
