At a bus stop on the road from Mahabalipuram in the direction of Chandrapuram (towards west), to go to Tiruchirapalli (towards south): A small fun fair, with a bit rudimentary but colored seesaw, carousel and giant wheel. There are quite a lot of people, among which many amused children. The photo appears to give back quite realistically the typical atmosphere of this rural Indian region at the time. This is the enlargement of part of the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
