Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu: The Maishasuramandini cave, or Maishamardini Mandapam is one of the typical rock-cut temples that are located on the Mahabalipuram main hill. In detail, it is located at the base of the peak where are the remains of the Olakkanesvara temple. Here the statue of a lion, that one finds near the entrance and that makes the base of a column. This the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
