Picinisco: Horses at Prati di Mezzo before sunrise

A photo taken at Prati di Mezzo (Meadows in the Middle), in the Abruzzo National Park, at the starting point of the trails to the Meta Mountains and at about ten chilometers from Picinisco. There are brown horses characterized by a white mane, in a peculiar light, since the meadow was still in the semidarkeness. One can notice three apparently very young foals, too. This is an enlargement of a parte of the original photo.
