(E&PU) Kanchipuram, 1996: A typical bas-relief at the base of a column in the Varadaraja Perumal temple.

In the ancient Hindu Varadaraja Perumal temple in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, that is dedicated to the deity Vishnu, there are wonderful halls with sculpted pillars. Here the particular of a typical bas-relief at the base of one of them. This is the enlargement of a part of the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
