Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu: Within the group of five Rathas, temples that are monolithic structures carved in the shape of chariots, near to the south part of the town beach, one finds also giant sculpted animals. Here the statue of a lion, whereas in particular a part of the small Draupadi Ratha is well visible on the left. This is the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
