(E&PU) Kanchipuram, 1996: Kanchi Kamakshi Amman temple.

Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu: A close view of a part of the particularly decorated Gopuram of the Kanchi Kamakshi Amman temple, just above the entrance. This ancient Hindu temple is dedicated to one of the forms of the deity Parvati and it is an example of Dravidian architecture. This is the enlargement of part of the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
